“We are what we repeatedly do. Exercise then, is not a lone act, but a habit”…We all know what it is like when we have a sudden burst of motivation to exercise yet after only just a few attempts that motivation along with the exercise disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

For each and every client one of our key priorities is to implement a plan that has been carefully & strategically constructed. We can then present our client with the greatest opportunity to fulfill their exercise desires into a lifelong habit, not just a one off act which occurs only randomly and sparingly.

In my professional and personal experience, when beginning a journey where there is an intended goal of success at the end of it, it is imperative that you stick to the plan and persist through all obstacles - and there will be many!

Although here at Studio Evolution Fitness we specialise in planning our client health, fitness & weight /fat loss goals this principle can be applied to other facets of life such as relationships, business and even simple daily tasks.

I believe that if you can master the discipline and commitment to a plan in one area of your life then you can do it for others too which is often the main contributing factor to whether you succeed or fail in anything you desire or attempt”.

See it, believe it, achieve it.

The general convention for everyday life is to eliminate anything that may cause physical and therefore mental stress.

I believe that this has come at a cost to our physical wellbeing. One of the most common examples of this is the car, a wonderful but widely over used invention.
Having now adopted as common place the feeling that stress through physical exertion is not ideal, we have become a species, less agile than nature intended.

Through our evolution as humans in a modern first world society, our state of health plays a very second fiddle to putting bread and butter on the table. As we mature in years, our careers seem to take over and our family commitments reign supreme. Our health and fitness are quite often left to fall by the wayside and given time we care less and less about it.

After a while, it can be difficult to find the motivation necessary to keep fit!

Our health is paramount in ensuring that we’re around for a long time to care about the ones we love and those who love us…

I Believe…“The Strongest will survive”

The caveman had to be strong and fit to survive in his era and his jungle. He couldn’t afford to be weak and unfit otherwise he could not provide for his family, build shelter, hunt and outrun his predators.

In today’s world we have progressed leaps and bounds but the exact same principle remains. The jungle is now the corporate world where we have to work long hours to be able to provide for ourselves & our family.

The strongest and the fittest will not only be able to maintain but will also be able to be more productive for longer periods of time at their job. They will also have a much greater chance of preventing sickness thus preventing time taken off work for sick leave. Their development of a strong core will help prevent lower back pain, soreness & weakness caused from sitting down for most of the day at their desk.

Challenging your body with functional and life specific exercises can help you achieve all your health and fitness goals, from looking and feeling great to having loads more energy – giving you a “bulletproof” lifestyle.

“Some people dream about looking and feeling great, while others wake up and work hard towards achieving those goals…It’s time to wake up”

Having come from a background in law and working in the corporate sector, I have had first hand experience in realising and understanding the challenge of keeping oneself fit and healthy. Let’s face it, the “energy in” versus “energy out” formula is not as simple as it sounds.

We are all busy, we all work long hours and many of us have strong family commitments so the time and energy required to do 60 minutes of strenuous exercise, three or more times per week is extremely difficult to find! When becoming a Personal Trainer my main goal was to be able to work side by side with my clients in order to help them approach fitness from a different perspective.

Sooner rather than later I realised that when you incorporate exercise and nutrition into your lifestyle, rather than the other way around you not only start achieving results, but you have fun whilst doing it! My greatest reward is when I see my client’s commitment to their fitness simply skyrocket and how self disciplined they become with it.
